Ultra Precise movement and simplicity was the design goal of the BTC-195. Zero backlash brushless motors provide extremely accurate positioning. The monocoque design is extremely compact as the multiple sensors are mounted directly to the spherical surface.
The BTC-195 is configurable with a suite of high definition optical and infrared sensors.
Featuring 3 modes of control for flexibility in unmanned or manned installations.
The BTC-195 has an aluminum mounting system with captive vibration isolators as well as a six axis passive elastomeric dampening system to counteract platform vibrations. Additionally, the 2 axis force resistant gyroscopes counteract any sudden platform movements.
Several internal and external mounts have been fabricated to house the BTC-195 on manned and unmanned vehicles. The external mount allows for use without having to alter the airframe or add noticeable drag. The external pods can attach to any hard point of an airframe and are highly configurable.
The BTC-195 comes with our exclusive patented SlipScreen that allows bare lens clarity while keeping the sensor lenses free of dust, dirt, rain, ice, and other airborne or exhaust born contaminants. (Patent US 679638)
We have operated the BTC-195 in a traffic observation plane (Quest Kodiak) for over 600 hours with no signs of lens clarity degradation.
