The basic concept as outlined in our patent involves treating two wheels as one. Two halves make a whole and when phased properly one or the other will have "round on the ground" resulting in a smooth ride on hard surfaces. When conditions get such that the wheels sink into the ground the edges provide a very aggressive traction mode. If surface conditions get even worse, then the phase between the wheels may be altered such that the vehicle claws its way thru. In water the phase may be altered to cascade the half wheels to provide smooth efficient locomotion. Several versions of this patented design have been produced.
